Montezuma’s Castle

This site's trail is short but informative. While I walked the paths, there were different park rangers explaining the history of Montezuma and how things were constructed. There were many people around each ranger listening intently and asking questions. Along the pathways there were signs explaining the lifestyle of the Sinagua and what features were utilized for. To the end of the path, there was a display of what the Sinagua people’s lifestyle might have been like. In this series, you can see a creek for the Sinagua, previously a river that was their main source of water. You can also observe how impressive these structures are to be built in the cliff side. While you can see that these were reinforced, it is no less impressive that these walls still stand. When I had visited the well all trails were blocked off. You could see further ahead that work was taking place likely reinforcing the features of the site.
