Documentary Photography to Document the Use of Indigenous Sites
During the start of this project, I thought it would be a simple comparison of how indigenous sites have been utilized over time. Instead, it grew more than what I could anticipate. As I took photos on location, I started paying attention to what the people around observed. Through my anthropology, I felt it appropriate to write about each site and note some observations. Some sites were frequented more than others and therefore were in better condition. After reflecting on these sites, their preservation, and reconstruction, I felt that this gallery needed more explanation at certain sites/points. In total, I visited 6 sites on random days, mostly in the morning. There is no particular order to how these should be viewed. Throughout your viewing experience, you should always keep in mind the places' history and think about the people they are important to.
